BMWMOA- Northern Exposure: 8 Custom Motorcycles from the Roll the Bones Vintage Chopper ShowWith the upcoming Builders' Best Custom Show at the National Rally in Essex, Vermont, I needed to see who was currently pushing the envelope. Montreal is a quick 200-mile ride from my front door, making it the perfect weekend scouting mission to identify the trends that may dominate the Vermont show floor.

- Last tire/dump run before the shop closesNo riding. Took Jim’s truck & trailer up to George’s shop to collect the last 56 tires. I also collected a bunch of my parts to take home – everything I need to do the pushrod tube seals on the Airhead, plus a set of Michelin tires and some tubes, and my carb parts.
- Adventure riding Intro Clinic with Shawn Thomas and Louise PowersMy first return to single-track after this lengthy hiatus was a disaster and I knew I needed both a lot more practice and a refresher course on the basics to make sure I’d be practicing the right things. This four-hour hands-on class would be a good start.
